Short Bio

My name is Demitrios Pournarakis and I am an Information Technology Scientist.

I currently work with nimbata and consult companies in solving marketing problems through data driven approaches.

I also teach the following courses at the Athens University of Economics and Business:

Undergraduate: Introduction to Network Science
MBA: Network Analysis for Managers and Analysts

I hold a PhD in Digital Marketing and am also active in research as a member of the ISTLab at Athens University of Economic and Business (AUEB), focusing on research problems that have to do with: Digital Marketing, Big Data Analytics and Social Network Analysis.

My previous academic experience involves an MBA from AUEB, an MSc in Information Systems from City University London and a BSc in Information Systems Management from AUEB.

I have worked for 10 years in the IT industry , gaining experience in design, development, configuration and management of large IT projects. As an IT Consultant at IBM I participated in the launch of large scale projects and have gained significant experience in presenting offerings to C-level executives.

On the web, I enjoy surfing and occasionaly posting on Twitter. I am a father, an owner of a beautiful dog and I am passionate about long walks, books, philosophy, art and golf.
